Phyllis Gale Sparks, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction on Sunday, May 18, 2008. She was sixty-two years of age.

On June 28, 1945, Phyllis was born the daughter of Phillip and Beatrice (Counts) Anderson in Sacramento, New Mexico. She graduated from Delta High School in 1962. She resided in Lovington, New Mexico for nineteen years before moving back to the North Fork area four years ago.

Phyllis enjoyed sewing, camping, and fishing. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Clinton Smith and his wife Debbie and Kamron Harper and her husband Jimmy both of Paonia, CO; two brothers, Willie Counts and his wife Dianna of Lovington, NM and Jessy Tracy and his wife Hope of Cortez, CO; and two sisters, Bertie Marah and her husband Mike of Cedaredge, CO and Rita Wahe of Fort Sumner, NM. Phyllis is further survived by five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
