, 79, of Doniphan died Aug. 1, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Neb.

He was born Dec. 3, 1927, at Arcadia, Neb., to Dr. Fred V. & Lillian R. (Rydberg) Amick. He grew up in Loup City and Hastings, Neb.

He graduated from Curtis High School and served in the United States Navy during WWII as a Medical Corpsman.

On Oct. 21, 1950, he married Renee J. Youngson and to this union a daughter, Sonja M. Amick and a son, John Amick where born.

He was a bonded and licensed livestock dealer for 50 years. He ranched in Garfield, Sherman and Greeley counties. He was founder and developer of Amick Acres Subdivision and an avid Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Amick of Doniphan; son, John Amick of Doniphan and his mother, Lillian R. Amick of Grand Island.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Fred V. Amick and a daughter, Sonja M. Latimer.
