, 85, of Minden died Nov. 12, 2007, at Kearney County Health Services, Long Term Care in Minden.

He was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Fairmont to Ralph and Bertha (Hickmon) Lusk.

On Dec. 25, 1943, he married Ruth Daily in Smith Center, Kan.

He graduated from York High School in 1941. He joined the U.S. Navy in January 1942 and served in the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged in December 1947.

He was employed with the Minden Police Department and the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office until 1970 and then worked as officer of the day for the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center until his retirement in 1984. During his retirement he was involved with various jobs throughout the community and enjoyed doing woodwork, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Throughout his life he was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion and the VFW, all in Minden.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Candice (James) Warrington of Gibbon; grandsons, Kris (Pam) Warrington of Shelton, Brion (Tausha) Warrington of Omaha and Daniel (Jamie) Warrington of Gibbon; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; grandson, Jon Warrington; and three great-grandchildren.

, 67, of Gering, died Nov. 8, 2007, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

He was born April 8, 1940, at Silver City, Iowa, to John and Mercedes (Merk) Clark on a farm and he developed a love for John Deere tractors.

He married Vickie Clark on June 26, 1973.

He owned his own business for most of his adult life. In, 1977, he began working for the Union Pacific Railroad and was a dedicated employee until he became disabled in 1994.

He loved to help everyone, sit in his wheelchair and watch people. We will all miss his wave and beautiful smile and his love.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Clark; son, Kevin Clark; daughters, Kelly (Al) Horgdal, Kathy (Myron) Carr and Karen (Brian) Stirek; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle (Mary Claire) Clark; sister, Judy (Robert) Jansen; mother-in-law, Delores (Leonard) Smalley; step-mother-in-law, Iona Gregory; brothers-in-law, Bill (Elsie) Gregory, Dennis (Sharon) Gregory and Gordon Gregory; sisters-in-law, Barbara Griesman and Shirley Gregory; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby sister, grandparents; and brothers-in-law, Steve Gregory and Timothy Gregory.

She was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Grand Island, Neb. to Henry and Mabel (Walters) Leonhardt. She moved to Gering with her family and graduated from Gering High School.

She married Jake Haun Feb. 14, 1941, in Harrisburg, Neb. When her husband returned after serving in the military during WW II they moved east of Scottsbluff where they farmed and raised their family.

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Michael) Silverman of Moran, Wyo. and their children Bradley and Elizabeth Silverman of Del Mar, Calif., and Damon and Lori Silverman of Charlotte, Vermont., and Jaci (Curtis) Wilson of Sedona, Calif., and their daughter, Katie Carlson of San Francisco, Calif.; Charles (Gale) Haun of Scottsbluff and their children, Christopher and Alena Haun of Scottsbluff, Camilla and Dave Bull of Monument, Colo., and Natalie and Curtis Howard of Sidney; and David (Jan) Haun of Scottsbluff and their children, Andrew Haun of Houston, Texas, and Abby and Scott Rempe of Lincoln; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Waddell of Salida, Colo., Betty Schanaman of Madison, Wis., and Delores Fox of Horseshoe Bend, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.
