Sandra Kay Wagner, 68, of Sterling, Colo., died Dec. 16, 2009, at the Sterling Living Center in Sterling, Colo.

She was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Monte Vista, Colo., to Louis and Louise (Huffman) Barnts, Sterling natives. She grew up and lived in Sterling for a large part of her life.

Prior to retirement, she worked as a surgical registered nurse in Dallas, Denver and the Boulder area for many years.

She was a loving companion of the late Elmer Wagner of Sterling for the past 25 years.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and caring for her beloved dog, Shi Shi.

Survivors include her sons, Troy (Nicole) and their foster children, Aryana, Destiny, and Allison, Bradshaw of Brush and Todd (Tracey) Bradshaw of Boulder; one sister, Janet Jensen of Sterling, Colo.; one brother, Bob (Joyce) Barnts of Redmond, Wash.; seven nieces and nephews, and her dear friend, Louise Roth.
