, 84, of Sutherland Care Center, Sutherland, Neb., formerly of North Platte died April 9, 2007, at the Sutherland Care Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1922, in a sod house near Quick, Neb., to Alfred and Sophia (Fritsche) Hansen.

He grew up in the Quick area and later farmed on a farm he bought from his uncle. He farmed until 1987 when he moved to North Platte. He worked part-time for Pat Clinch Construction.

He married Evelyn Belle Quick at Oberlin, Kan., on Feb. 14, 1942, and they made their home on the farm.

He joined the U.S. Army on March 6, 1946, and was discharged on April 12, 1947, and he returned to the farm.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include four daughters, Sandra (Larry) Staberg of Lincoln, Neb., Debra (Don) Kreis of Gothenburg, Jeanette (Steve) Graff of Lincoln, and Gina (Steve) Lee of Sutherland; three sons, Derrell (Jane) Hansen of Katy, Texas, Donald (Connie) Hansen of Hershey, and Billy Hansen of McCook; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Hansen; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Hansen.

, 74, of North Platte, died April 7, 2007, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

She was born to Elmer and Erma (Kidd) Barnes in North Platte on Sept. 29, 1932.

She grew up in North Platte and attended school here. She married Jim Stark.

In 1951 she married William “Bill” Holson. She lived in various places including Nebraska, Oklahoma and New Mexico. They moved back to North Platte and she worked at the Pawnee Hotel for many years. She did private home care for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed reading, and was an avid garage saler, she enjoyed Cody Park, especially the baby animals.

Survivors include eight children, Elaine (Jerry) Stubbs of Conrad, Mont., Linda (Dennis) Whitmore of North Platte, William “Bill” (Jamie) Holson of North Platte, Irene “Punkin” Trobough of Conrad, Mont., Teresa (David) Phillips of Great Falls, Mont., Melissa (Peeper) Francke of North Platte, Betty “Suzy” Don Goddard of Maxwell and Misty (Jim) Muirhead of North Platte; grandchildren, Denise (Darby) Morlan of North Platte, Michael (Melanie) Whitmore of Lincoln, Damon (Brandy) Whitmore of Lincoln, Kenneth Goddard, Derrick (Kippy) Missing of North Platte, Courtney Ballard of North Platte, Donnie “Tony” (Leah) Ballard of North Platte, Chelsea, Joseph, Ashley and Tyler Holson all of North Platte, Brandi Guinard of North Platte, JD Stubbs of Conrad, Mont., Tyler (Robin) Stubbs of Shelby, Mont., Brenda (Shane) Zumbrun of Conrad, Mont., Billy Joe Holson of Great Falls, Mont.; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Naythen, Caitlyn, Carter, Hunter, Jaden, Caleb, Abigail, Keelee, Gabbie, Doni, Daynea, Destiny, Myranda, Shane, Kelsey, Brianna, Bailey and Brogan.
