, 86, of Platteville, Colo., died Aug. 13, 2006, in Platteville.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1919, in Milliken, Colo., to John Peter and Katherine (Jacoby) Webber. He grew up in the Mead (Colo.) area, and graduated from Mead High School.

After graduation, he began farming for the Great Western Sugar Factory Farm in Johnstown, Colo., until 1952. At that time, the family began to farm near Mead. Bud farmed until his declining health forced him to retire.

Bud was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colo., where he was also a member of the church council and served as an usher.

Bud was named Honorary Chapter member of the FFA in Longmont. He was a member of the Farmland Co-op, MEDA (Mountain Empire Dairyman’s Association), the Great Western Sugar Beet Association, and the Ball Lateral Ditch Company. He was a fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies.

He enjoyed gardening. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, and spending time with his family.

Bud is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Webber of Platteville; daughters Lynda and husband Roger Coonrod of Longmont, Virginia and husband Ed Letterly of Broomfield, Colo., and Carla and husband George Mussell of Brush, Colo.; one son, John Webber and wife Susan of Berthoud, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Esther Binder of Milliken.

He was preceded in death by four sisters: Mollie Leffler, Margaret Thiel, Emily Reinhardt, and Ann Bentley; and three brothers: Henry, Peter, and Bill.

Services were held on Aug. 17 in Longmont, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, Colo.
