, 76, longtime resident of Lindon and Brush, Colo., died May 18, 2006, at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colo.

He was born June 10, 1929, in Holly, Colo., to William and Augusta Sharpe. His mother died shortly after he was born, and he went with his three sisters to live with his grandmother near Lindon. He graduated from Lindon High School in 1947.

On June 10, 1950, Ralph married Ilene Wyman in Genoa, Colo.

Ralph ranched and farmed near Lindon. He loved being with and helping children, and as a result, drove school bus for Woodlin schools for 50 years.

He was a member of Woodlin Lions club for 45 years. He enjoyed working with horses, and especially helping his uncle, Henry Orth, work with race horses.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Ilene; three children: Larry Sharpe of Flagler, Colo., Joyce Thorstad of Canon City, Colo., and Kathy Blake of Marlow, Colo.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Ethel Nuttleman of Thornton, Colo., Luceile Campbell of Limon, Colo., and Myrna Schrock of Akron, Colo.

Services were held May 22 in Woodlin, with interment at Glen Cemetery, southeast of Last Chance, Colo.
