, 86, of Longmont, Colo., died April 3, 2006, at his home, surrounded by friends and family.
He was born April 24, 1919, in Mead, Colo., to Jacob and Christine (Rudy) Haas. Henry grew up and went to school in the Mead and Longmont areas.
Henry later moved to Longmont where he married Mildred Schaffer on Oct. 6, 1940.
He farmed and fed cattle in the Longmont and Brighton, Colo., areas most of his life.
He retired in 1993, but remained on the family homestead until the time of his death.
He was a loyal member of Christ Congregational Church all his life.
Henry was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; three daughters: Donna Renoad, Darlene Hyde and husband Keith, and Dianne Jones and husband Vern, all of Longmont; five grandchildren: Rhonda and Craig Olinger, Kent and Sandy Hyde, Kristin and Owen Corwin, Kim and Jim Sanger, and Stacy and Jeff Parriott; and nine great-grandchildren. The joy of his life was his great-great-granddaughter, Ruby Mae Williams. He is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Schlagel and Frieda Colbruno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Jake; and two sisters, Helen Coulson and Katherine Yeager.
Services were held on April 7 in Longmont, with interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
