, 88, died Aug. 4, 2007, at Sunset Manor in Brush, Colo.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1918, in Sons Creek Hill (Neola), Dade County, Mo., to Arthur Garfield and Adelia (Duncan) Teeters. She graduated from Deer Trail High School in 1936.

Irene married Paul Joseph Monnahan on Feb. 7, 1938, in Littleton, Colo. The couple had three sons and one daughter, and lived most of their lives on a ranch/farm east of Deer Trail, Colo. They had been married 62 years at the time of Paul’s death.

Many family dinners were held at her home. She enjoyed her grandchildren, teaching them card games and exploring the outdoors on nature walks. She loved to crochet doilies, rag rugs, snowflakes and bookmark crosses.
