Otto Scheller, age 80, of Eaton, Colo., died Dec. 31, 2007, at Fairacres Manor in Greeley, Colo.

He was born on July 21, 1927, in Eaton, to Henry Scheller and Emilie (Rahm) Scheller. He lived in the Eaton area most of his life. He graduated from Kersey High School.

Otto married Shirley Clayton in May, 1949, in Greeley. She died in August, 1962.

He later married Marietta Swanson in December, 1962, in Kearney, Neb. She died July 22, 2005.

Otto owned and operated Schell-Acres Holsteins.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Eaton.

Otto was past State President of DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Association), and was a member of the National Dairy Shrine.

He loved to attend farm auctions.

Otto is survived by one son, Thomas Scheller and wife Chris, Visalia, Calif.; two daughters, Carol and husband Raymond Dukart of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kathy Scheller of Jonesborough, Tenn.; and five grandchildren: Scott, Ryan and Todd Dukart, and Peter and Annemarie Scheller.

He is also survived by one brother, Herman Scheller, and two sisters, Ella Magnuson and Wilma Staudinger.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Uhrich, his parents, and both his wives.

Services were held on Jan. 5 in Greeley. Interment took place at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.
