Past Colorado State FFA Officers join together to support FFA members
Calling all past Colorado State FFA Officers! Have you been looking for a way to reconnect with your fellow teammates? Would you like to give back to the Colorado FFA Association? Well, look no further. A group of recent Colorado State FFA Officers invite you to join them in continuing support to Colorado FFA Association and agricultural education through the newly organized Past State FFA Officer Alumni Chapter.
With a recently attained national charter, the Past State Officer Alumni Chapter is seeking all past Colorado State FFA Officers to reconnect and join together. Simply referred to as the PSO Alumni, the purpose of the alumni chapter is to support and promote the Colorado FFA Association and agricultural education on the local, state and national level and to cooperate with the members of Colorado Team Ag Ed in fulfilling their missions. Members of the PSO Alumni hope to provide a tie to the FFA and assist all FFA personnel in facilitating the involvement and support of former state officers. The PSO Alumni seeks to promote greater knowledge of the agricultural industry and agricultural education, to build relationships with business and industry personnel to create networking opportunities for past state officers and to provide opportunities for past state officers to reconnect with other past state officers and members of Colorado Team Ag Ed.
The Past State Officer Alumni Chapter elected officers this past fall, and is planning a Colorado Past State FFA Officer reunion to be held at the 80th State FFA Convention at Northeastern Junior College, in Sterling, Colorado on June 5th, 2008. The reunion is open to all past Colorado State FFA Officers. More information will be released closer to the event.
Other events the PSO Alumni has taken on are putting on mock interviews for state officer candidates, helping in many capacities with State FFA Convention, and assisting with the Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame banquet. In addition, the PSO Alumni would like to update the past state officer database, raise money to sponsor awards and leadership development opportunities for Colorado FFA members, and provide a netword of support for local ag teachers. Many more activities, fundraisers, and events will be sponsored by the PSO Alumni as the chapter grows.
The current PSO Alumni officer team includes: President, Josh Wittler from Pritchett; Vice President, Tyson Brown from Yuma; Secretary, Amanda Ramos from Cedaredge; Treasurer, Susan Kasza from McClave; Reporter, Andrea Knodel from Idalia; and Executive Secretary, Brian Cunningham from Yuma.
For more information about the Past State Officer Alumni Chapter or the past state officer reunion, feel free to contact Josh Wittler at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope to see all past state officers at the 80th Colorado State FFA Convention in June!
