Elsie Mae Cumming, 89, died Nov. 28, 2010, at the Life Care Center in Greeley, Colo.

She was born March 5, 1921, to Victor and Elizabeth Roberts in Bertrand, Neb. She and her family moved to Colorado when she was a young girl and settled close to Venango, Neb. They moved again and settled in Julesburg where she attended high school.

She married Roy Dean Cumming on Nov. 15, 1939, and to this union their were three children born.

She lived most of their married life on the family home place and in 1968 they moved to Julesburg where they resided until February 2002, at which time she moved to the Life Care Center of Greeley, Colo.

She was a homemaker earlier in her lifetime and after the children were grown she worked at the Sedgwick County Hospital as a Housekeeper for 28 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and received a 50-year pin from the church congregation. She was a very loving person and her family meant everything to her. The grandchildren just loved staying at Grandma’s house.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Melvin Roberts; one sister, Mildred Stretesky, and her husband, Roy Dean Cumming.
