Larry C. Sundstrom, 69, of Maxwell died Nov.17, 2010, at the North Platte Care Centre, after a lengthy illness with Parkinson’s Disease, of which he never complained.

He was born May 14, 1941, to Chester and Thelma (Miller) Sundstrom in Los Angeles, Calif. His parents lived briefly in California and returned to the “good life” in Nebraska when he was nine months old. He attended grade school at the Jeffrey Queen School, south of Brady, and graduated from North Platte High School in 1960.

He served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965.

On June 24, 1967, he was united in marriage to Donna Sommer at Maxwell.

He was employed as a machinist for the Union Pacific Railroad and retired after 35 years. He also raised Angus cattle and especially enjoyed calving time.

Survivors include his wife, Donna of Maxwell; two sons, Rustin “Russ” (Angela) Sundstrom and his “little sunshine” granddaughter, Cheyenne all of Moorefield and Neil Sundstrom of Maxwell; a sister, Kay Sundstrom of North Platte; a brother, Raymond (Darice) Sundstrom of North Platte; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
