Lily E. Sierks, 85, of Butte, Neb., died June 13, 2010, at Butte Health Care Center.

She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Keystone, Neb., in her grandmother’s house to Robert T. and Elsie (Spear) Tillman. She graduated from Sutherland High School with the class of 1942.

She married Gene Sierks on Jan. 15, 1947, in North Platte. To this union three children were born. The couple resided south of Tryon until 1955 when they moved west of North Platte until moving to Spencer and Butte, Neb., after their health failed.

She attended Bethel Evangelical Church, was a volunteer at the Thrift Shop from 1970-2002 and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Kathy) Sierks of North Platte, Charlene (Jack) Connell of Whitman and Connie (Dennis) Dringman of Bristow, Neb.; grandchildren, Staci (Jerry) MacDonald of Fullerton, Zane (Susan) Connell of Whitman, Dan (Raquel) Dringman of Central City, Jeff Sierks of Denver, Colo., and Jena (Clark Adkins) Sierks of Sutherland; and sister-in-law, Florence Hazel Tillman of Hershey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene on Sept. 2, 2009; three sisters; and three brothers, including Billy Tillman and Garland Tillman.
