Edwin L. Bullington, 54, of North Platte, died May 21, 2010 at his home.

He was born to Veldon and Alma I. (Winters) Bullington on April 8, 1956, in North Platte.

He graduated from McPherson County High School, and was active in High School rodeos, calf roping and saddle bronc riding and a lot of other High School sports.

He worked on the family ranch after high school.

He married Sheree Swedberg on Sept. 15, 1979, in Hershey. To this union four children were born – Brett, Cory, Jamie and Tab.

He worked at Cesco Electric for several years, always had a hand in farm and ranch operations, farming with his father-in-law for 20 years. He most recently worked at the American Tire Distribution center.

As a family, they took the children to every High School and Jr. Rodeo around the area. He enjoyed team roping, and spending time with his family and his horses. He was a life member of the American Quarter Horse Association.

Survivors include sons, Brett (fiance Brittnay Colburn) and Cory Bullington both of North Platte; daughter, Jamie Bullington of North Platte; mother, Alma Bullington of North Platte; two brothers, Cecil (Mickey) Bullington of Tryon and Garth (Jodi) Bullington of Mullen; five sisters, Valma (Don) Smith of North Platte, Merry (Gary) Venezie of North Platte, Alisa (Leonard) Phillips of Mullen, Marsha (Darwin Munson) Bullington of North Platte, and Rhonda (Jerry) Crouch of San Bernadino, Calif.; sister-in-law, Trudy Swedberg of Hershey; father-in-law, Ernie Swedberg also of Hershey; the mother of his children, Sheree Bullington of Oregon; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tab Alan; a sister, Alice Marie; and father, Veldon Bullington.
