Wanda May Bainbridge Brown Heimbuck, 89, of Bridgeport, Neb., passed away October 21, 2011.

She was born March 25, 1922 to Iva (Gross) and Forrest Bainbridge at Weiser, Idaho, north of Manns Creek, where she would be raised. She attended school and graduated from Deer Creek, School District 27, Weiser, Idaho. Wanda married Arthur Donald Brown on March 12, 1939, at Weiser, Idaho. They moved back to Bridgeport shortly thereafter. To this union two children were born, Patricia Mae and Delmer Paul. She made many friends wherever she lived.

She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She loved her entire family dearly and always thanked God for the family that she had. She enjoyed working side by side with her family on the farm; raising beets, corn, beans, hay, cattle and pigs. She always looked on the bright side even when things didn’t go as planned.

They farmed until sickness forced them to retire and move into Bridgeport in 1978. She had a large lawn and flower beds that she kept well manicured. There were many fishing trips. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Donald passed away in 1980. Wanda married Harry Heimbuck in December of 1982 in Emmett, Idaho. They moved back to Bridgeport and made many trips to Idaho to visit family and friends until Harry’s death in 1991.

She is survived by son Delmer Paul (June) Brown of Bridgeport, Neb., son-in-law Larry Jones of Sidney, Neb., step-son Roger (Fayne) Heimbuck of Emmett, Idaho; step-daughters Cathy Vicken of Boise, Idaho, and Connie (Bob) Bruner of Emmett, Idaho; brother Gene Bainbridge of Ontario, Ore.; sister Alberta Donaldson of Lebanon, Ore.; brother-in-law Marvin Holcomb of Algona, Wash.; sisters-in-law Evaletta Brown of Placerville, Calif., and Jane Brown of Gering, Neb.; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren, three step-great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
