In 2011, the National FFA Foundation has received a record $16 million through corporate and private financial contributions. 40 new corporate sponsors have been added this year, bringing the total to 1,212. Also, adding to the contributions were 80 new companies that exhibited at the 2011 National FFA Convention and Expo. The organization also has a new record membership this year with 540,379 students. This is due in part to the fact that 17,000 students in the U.S. Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands have signed up this year.
