Amelia “Millie” Hinkle, 89, of Longmont, Colo., passed away January 16, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital.

She was born on August 13, 1921 in Johnstown, Colo., the daughter of Henry and Emilie (Roth) Harding.

She married William Hinkle on January 17, 1940 in Milliken, Colo. Millie and William farmed in the Johnstown, Ft. Collins and Longmont, Colo., areas. They moved to Longmont, Colo., in 1952 from Ft. Collins, Colo. Millie also worked at the Burlington Elementary School cafeteria and was a homemaker and loving mother.

Millie was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and a former member of Women of the Moose Lodge 1548, both in Longmont, Colo. Millie loved to crochet.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Hinkle (Eileen) of Firestone, Colo.; her daughter, Mary Phillips (Earl) of Wichita, Kan.; her brother, Albert Harding (Millie) of Windsor, Colo.; her sisters, Hilda Kaiser, Shirley Schmunk and Betty Ehrlick (John), all of Greeley, Colo.; her grandchildren, Rhonda Pratt (Tom), Richelle Cawthra (Eddie); Stacey Vince (Ron) and Stephanie Graham (Ryan) and her great-grandchildren, Amy and Austin Pratt, Brittany and Ryan Cawthra and Grayson and Jackson Graham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; and her husband, William in 1999.
