Stan Brehon, 56, of Kersey, Colo., passed away Feb. 7, 2010.

He was born on Feb. 27, 1953 in Greeley, Colo., to Victor and Clara (Hoff) Brehon. He grew up on a farm near Eaton and attended Eaton schools and graduated from Eaton High School in 1971. During those years, and throughout his life, 4H and FFA was a big part of his life. April 28, 1973 was a special day as Kathy Schmunk and Stan were united in marriage. He was thankful for the 35 wonderful years they shared together.

Farming was his life. They farmed in Eaton, Wiggins and Kersey. He enjoyed his association with other area farmers as a member of the Weld County Fair Sale Committee, the Weld County Barrow Assoc., and the Platte Valley Ag Advisory Committee. He also enjoyed raising and selling pigs, and helping the 4H members with their pigs. His family would say that he had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and was hardworking and dedicated; but he just loved what he was doing and had a lot of fun along the way. He loved his family. He loved God. And he had a good life.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Brehon of Kersey, Colo.; his two beautiful daughters and their husbands, Amy and Matt Fox of Kersey, Colo., and Melissa and Greg Achziger of Eaton, Colo.; and his two wonderful grandchildren, Bailie and Blayd Fox both of Kersey, Colo.; his father, Victor Brehon of Greeley, Colo.; three brothers, Jerry Brehon of Greeley, Colo., Jim Brehon of Red Feather Lakes, Colo., and David Brehon of Trinidad, Colo.; and his mother-in-law, Shirley Schmunk of Greeley, Colo.
