1 c. Brown Sugar

1/2 c. White Sugar

1/4 c. Molasses

3 c. Flour

1/2 t. Salt

1 t. Cinnamon

1/2 t. Cloves

1-1/2 t. Ginger

2 t. Soda

Cream together thoroughly egg yolks, shortening, brown sugar, white sugar and molasses. Sift together and mix well, flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and soda. Add dry ingredients to yolk mixture and drop by spoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. If the cookie sheet is greased, the cookies will be thicker and smaller in diameter. On an ungreased cookie sheet, the cookies spread farther and are thinner when done.
