Rocky Mountain Recipes 12-21-09
1-1/2 c. Confectioner’s sugar
1 c. Butter
1 Egg
1 t. Vanilla
1/2 t. Almond extract
2-1/2 c. Flour
1 t. Baking soda
1 t. Cream of tarter
Mix sugar and butter together. Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract; mix thoroughly. Stir together flour, baking soda and cream of tarter. Blend dry ingredients into sugar mixture. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Roll cookie dough out on a lightly floured surface. Use your favorite cookie cutters to make fun shapes. Heat oven to 375 degrees then bake cookies for 7 to 8 minutes or until golden. Makes about 5 dozen.
