Roehr Named Colorado State Veterinarian
Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) congratulates and is looking forward to working with Dr. Keith Roehr, of Broomfield, as the newly selected Colorado State Veterinarian.
“The State Veterinarian plays in integral part of protecting the safety and welfare of Colorado’s livestock population,” said Paul Bernklau, CCA President. “I wish Dr. Roehr well and know that he will continue to work hard for the beef producers in the state of Colorado.”
Roehr has been employed by CDA since 1995 and has served as the Assistant State Veterinarian since 2002. Dr. Roehr also supervises the Pet Animal Care Facilities program and the Bureau of Animal Protection. He received his doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University college of Veterinary Medicine in 1981.
“I have a passion to support and protect animal agriculture as a veterinarian and am fortunate to be able to serve this industry as Colorado’s State Veterinarian,” states Roehr.
