Running Creek 4-H Club News 3-15-10
On March 1 the Running Creek 4-H meeting was called to order.
The cake decorating, creative cooks contest day is April 10, make sure to check the newsletters for registration due date. Just a reminder, the add/drop deadline for projects is April 1.
The Meat Quality Assurance is March 16, April 7, April 22, and May 2. The extension office is sending reminder postcards, emails and information in the newsletters. If you have an animal that could end up on the food chain, like the breeding and market animals then the test is required. To pass you need your test score to be at or above 75 percent.
On March 13 our club went to the Ronald McDonald house and served breakfast.
Recently se collected items such as candy, books, and movies to send overseas for the Military Care Package. We were unable to arrange for the bake sale in March, but we will try for April 10, and if we are then we will need volunteers.
There is going to be a rabbit show on April 10 in Castle Rock, Colo., from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
We would also like to thank the Leaders Council for the great breakfast at the Leaders Training in February. Our leaders who attended enjoyed Ms. Davis’ presentation of the 4-H garden.
