Search the digital highway for the Scenic Byway
The Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway (SJSB) is excited to announce the unveiling of its brand new website – http://www.sandhillsjourney.com. It has been the link for the Byway’s website for many years, but when a visitor clicks on it today, they will find a new look with a wealth of information covering the 272 miles of Nebraska Highway 2 between Grand Island and Alliance known as the Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway.
The new website was designed by Mike Howie of David & Associates in Hastings and made a reality by funding from two grants; a USDA Rural Development Rural Business Enterprise grant and a Nebraska Tourism Marketing grant. A lot of hard work on the part of the SJSB website committee went into planning and designing the new website. Some of the guidelines they wanted to see implemented into the new site were: a modern look and feel, a photo album, a link to the state tourism website, downloadable maps, community information and events, business directory and a Facebook presence on the home page.
“The new website is a database driven site using a content management system,” said Twila Phillips the SJSB Marketing Chairman. This means it can be updated easily as event or attraction information changes. It has multiple search features and numerous links making the site visitor friendly and easy to navigate.”
The Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway hopes this new site will be a useful tool both to the traveler and resident. Visit http://www.sandhillsjourney.com and explore the Byway today!
