Second dairy herd retirement set for this year; bid deadline is Friday
Cooperatives Working Together will conduct its second dairy herd retirement of 2009.
CWT is shortening the time frame for producers to submit bids. A maximum bid level is also being announced for the round.
Jerry Kozak, president and chief executive officer of the National Milk Producers Federation, said bids cannot exceed $5.25 per 100 pounds of milk. They must be postmarked by Friday, July 24.
