Seeking volunteers for 2007 Fair and Rodeo
Come one, come all! It’s time to get ready for the 2007 Larimer County Fair and Rodeo, July 28-August 12. The theme this year is “Horns, Hides, Laughs and Rides,” and you can become a Ranch Hand’ by volunteering at the Fair. As a Ranch Hand’ you’ll be an integral part of one of the best fairs in America by doing things such as:
– Serving up a hearty good morning meal at the Pancake Breakfast.
– Helping visitors welcome the day and find their way.
– Assisting with special entertainment events, productions and the parade.
– Providing transportation for visitors and teach toddler driving school.
– Work with youth at the Junior Livestock Sale and be a Farmer for a Day.’
These are just some of the activities the Fair has to offer Rand hand’ volunteers. For a list of “Ranch Hand” opportunities see the 2007 volunteer “Ranch Hand” application at http://www.larimercountyfair.org or contact Mary Stark at the Ranch (970) 619-4009. You can also apply online, and remember to apply early!
Once you’ve applied you will be invited to attend an orientation meeting at the Ranch on Tuesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. You’ll get more volunteer information then. The 2007 Larimer County Fair takes place at The Ranch, Larimer County’s Fairgrounds in Loveland, Colorado.
The success of the Larimer County Fair is a direct result of all the hard work of volunteers, having fun, and helping people. People from all walks of life and ages are encouraged to apply. There is an age limit of 25 for a shuttle driver, but there are lots of other opportunities for those under 25. We also encourage family or friend teams too.
