Services for Bill Jackson are scheduled Nov. 7 at Island Grove Park
A memorial service for former Greeley Tribune reporter Bill Jackson has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 7 at Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley.
Jackson, 71, died Sept. 27 of a heart attack while driving his car a few miles east of Montrose in western Colorado.
The “Celebration of Bill’s Life” memorial service will be in the Exhibition Building at the park, 501 N. 14th Ave.
Jackson had a 33-year career at The Greeley Tribune as its agriculture editor and reporter, and was inducted in the Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame.
At the end of the service, there will be a video auction of some animals, with proceeds from the auction being split between the Weld County 4-H Foundation and the Bill Jackson Scholarship fund at Colorado State University.
