Silo for April 8: Conditions good for tillage and planting
Conditions good for tillage and planting
Warm and dry conditions created opportunities for tillage and planting in most of Colorado, the National Agricultural Statistics Service reported.
Dry pockets of cropland and pasture persisted to the south, particularly in the San Luis Valley. The northeastern part of the state was an exception to dry conditions, with rain and snow showers.
As of April 6, mountain snowpack statewide was 67 percent of average. The southwest and San Luis Valley were 52 and 54 percent of average, respectively.
