Small-acreage workshop scheduled Sept. 11 in Loveland
The West Greeley Conservation District will co-host a small acreage workshop at The Ranch in Loveland from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 11.
The event is sponsored by the Big Thompson, Boulder Valley, Fort Collins, Longmont and West Greeley Conservation Districts along with Colorado State University Extension and USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Topics at the workshop include equipment selection, pasture land management, animal management, weed management, water management plus wind/snow/dust management. Attendees can structure session schedules to match their specific interests. Workshops will focus on the basics for each topic but will be led by experts in their field who can also answer complex questions. Some workshops will also offer field experiences as well as classroom instruction.
The workshop will be at the First National Bank North Exhibition Hall at The Ranch. The cost is $15 per person, which includes lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments plus the opportunity to win a $500 Extreme Makeover of a small acreage.
