Succession in Agriculture Workshop set March 9
CURTIS, Neb. – The University of Nebraska-Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) will be hosting a Succession in Agriculture Workshop on March 9, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Vet Teaching Hospital. There is no charge for the workshop.
This half-day workshop on farm estate and transition planning will assist producers in identifying the core issues that drive succession and estate planning. The workshop is also designed to help producers understand the legal and financial context in which planning occurs, and help them choose the right tools to accomplish their plans.
Succession in Agriculture Workshop speakers include Dave Goeller, University of Nebraska Farm/Ranch Transition Specialist and Joe Hawbaker, Agricultural Law Attorney. Questions are welcome during the presentation and after, time permitting.
As a follow-up, the sponsors are offering free one-on-one consultations to those who will commit to a certain amount of homework. These consultations will be held at subsequently scheduled Mediation Service Farm and Ranch Clinics.
