Try the "Rural Scootin’ Boogie"

Jay Warburton
Fort Collins, Colo.

“Man, this is just like ridin’ a fast horse through the Rockies!” I said into the Chatter Box microphone attached to my helmet.

Larry Finnell was scooting along behind me about 100 yards.

“Wow! You aren’t kidding. I grew up with the Poudre Canyon as my backyard playground and after 65 years it’s like seeing it for the first time.”

That’s how it’s been for Larry and me for the past three or so years, ever since we were introduced to riding our “super” scooters. I say “super,” because these sure aren’t the Vespas and Cushman’s he and I had when we were kids in the late 1950s. I rode mine all over Colorado Springs, and Larry explored as much of the Fort Collins, Colo., area that less-than-50cc’s could take him.
