Vintage Truck Show in Greeley June 14-15
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mark your calendars for Father’s Day weekend, June 14-15, 2008. That’s when the Intermountain Chapter of the Historical Vintage Truck Association (H.V.T.A.) will host an exhibit of antique trucks in Greeley, Colo. The show will be held at the Bunkhouse in the northwest corner of Island Grove Regional Park, 501 N. 14th Avenue, Greeley.
This show is free to the public. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.
In addition to pickups, mid-range and large trucks, there will be noteable other old vehicles, including fire trucks and over-the-road truck tractors ” some for show and some still working.
Not everything will be in restored condition, and no prizes will be awarded. There will be a $15 entry fee for the first truck registered by each owner; each additional truck will be $10. Each participant will be given a colorful dash plaque to commemorate the event. Last year, more than 90 trucks were displayed.
The same group has been putting on a show here for the past eight years. The name of the group was changed to better represent the small group of real, old truck people dedicated to old truck memories.
If anyone has interest in joining the group, they may contact us at the registration table during the event. Local dues are $10/year.
If you have interest in displaying a truck or need additional information, please contact Tiny Miller at (970) 353-7073; Richard Busby at (303) 690-5123; or Richard Ausmus at (719) 598-2466.
