Amy Lucille Phillips, 91, of Delta, Colo., passed away December 8, 2011 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, Colo.

She was born on November 13, 1920 to the late Otis Tyler and Emma Alma (Hicks) Williams in Placerville, Colo. She spent her childhood up through her sophomore year in Cedaredge, Colo., when her family moved to Ouray, Colo. Amy graduated from Ouray High School Class of 1938. She has been a resident of Delta, Colo., since 2004 moving from Cedaredge, Colo.

On February 13, 1942, Amy Williams married Roger Garwin Phillips in Cedaredge, Colo. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2004.

Amy was a member of the Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church in Cedaredge, Colo.; past member of the United Methodist Women (UMW) and had served as secretary and treasurer for the Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church.

She was a wonderful seamstress and loved doing needle work and cross stitching. She also loved working crossword puzzles, reading and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Amy was an avid Rockies and Broncos fan.

She is survived by her son, David Phillips and spouse, Vicki of Arvada, Colo.; daughter, Lynn Williams of Delta, Colo.; brother-in-law, Robert Phillips and spouse, Joan of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Lenore Champlin of Montrose, Colo.; four grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; parents, Otis and Emma Williams; and two sisters, Pearl and Ethel.

Memorial services were held December 12, 2011 at the Cedaredge Community United Methodist Church in Cedaredge, Colo.

Inurnment was in the Cedaredge Cemetery.
