Harold James Brandstadt, 80, of Delta, Colo., passed away May 26, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on May 18, 1931 in Pontiac, Mich., to the late Henry and Emma (Dregger) Brandstadt.
On April 10, 1955, Harold married Lois Marie Brown in Montrose, Colo. They have been residents of Delta, Colo., for the past 56 years.
Harold was a member of the Delta Elk’s Lodge and a past chairman for the Delta Potato Growers Association.
He loved farming, ranching, hunting and fishing. He also loved listening to Hank Williams music and visiting with friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his four sons Kenneth Brandstadt of Grand Junction, Colo., Donald Brandstadt and spouse, Maria of Bennington, Okla., Gary Brandstadt of Grand Junction, Colo., and Melvin Brandstadt and spouse, Mona of Delta, Colo.; two sisters Jean Brandstadt and June Broome and spouse, Orland, all of Delta, Colo.; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emma Brandstadt; his loving wife, Lois Brandstadt on March 31, 2011; a son, John Henry Brandstadt; and a daughter-in-law, Darla Brandstadt
Memorial services were held June 1, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Delta, Colo.
Interment followed at the Delta City Cemetery in Delta, Colo.
