Charlotte Peeples, 97, passed away July 16, 2010 with her family by her side.

Charlotte was born Sept. 7, 1912 in Tilden, Neb., to Dr. William and Ella Quackenbush Crane. Charlotte graduated from Norfolk Jr. College in 1931. She then moved to Denver, Colo., in 1935 and married Dr. LeRoy De Mendoza. Their daughter, Marjory, was born in 1939.

Charlotte married long time peach rancher, Raymond Peeples in 1945. They made their home in Palisade, Colo. Charlotte spent many years traveling to Mexico with her husband, Raymond.

Her love for music touched many people. Charlotte played the organ for the Palisade Christian Church. She was a member of the Palisade and Mt. Garfield Rebekah Lodge. She loved her family, her music, kitty Gabby, and her church community.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Lila (Mick) Clark; daughter-in-law, Lawanna Peeples Styers; sister, Elanor Crane Nordyke; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Roy, husband Raymond, daughter Marjory, step-son Linn, brothers, William, Bradford, and Richard Crane.
