Homer Arthur “Art” Harmon, 68, of Grand Junction, Colo., passed away July 9, 2009 of complications from cancer.
Art was born May 28, 1941 in Oak Creek, Colo., to Homer Cleo and Sallie Naomi (House) Harmon. He spent his childhood in Colorado, graduating from Routt County High School. For the past 47 years, Art was a resident of Mesa County.
On August 2, 1963, he married Susan L. Corey at Collbran, Colo.
Art was a truck driver for Farmland Feed Mill. He enjoyed working cattle, hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fruita.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Grand Junction, Colo.; son, Richard A. Harmon of Loveland, Colo.; daughter, Teresa Funk of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Darrell Harmon of Grand Junction, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, Lucille Viele.
Services were held July 15, 2009 at the LDS church in Fruita, Colo.
Interment will be on family land in Collbran.
