Lou Emma Milholland, 89, passed away August 12, 2009 in Wichita Falls, Texas, of natural causes.

She was born December 19, 1919 in McCurtain, Okla., but lived most of her life in Western Colorado. Her pioneer spirit served her well throughout her life, especially when it came to doctoring a sick calf or keeping all the children in tow whose path crossed hers. She was a treasure to all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children, Louise Weinant; Bill (Linda) Milholland; Doug (Valerie) Milholland and Katy (Bill) Buxman; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren (one deceased) and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert.

Services will be held at a later date.
