Gary Allen Copley, 69, passed away August 15, 2010 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 14, 1941 to Joseph and Dorthy (Wilson) Copley in Denver, Colo. He spent his teenage years in Los Alamos, N.M., where he learned to love science, which became a life-long interest.

The Copley family moved to a ranch in Crawford, Colo., in the 60s. Gary helped on the ranch until it was sold after his father’s death. Gary and his mother moved to Delta, Colo., and enjoyed many happy years together until her death.



He enjoyed reading, loved watching television and his toy poodle, Missy. He was very fond of motorcycles and owned several when he was younger.

He is survived by his sister, Marcia Copley of Montrose, Colo.; and five cousins Larry (Mary) Wilson of Santa Rosa, Calif., Karen (Jim) Medley of Sunland, Calif., Candy (Steve) Hundley of Santa Rosa, Calif., James (Joan) Kluge of Greeley, Colo., and Carol (Wes) Kincaid of Austin, Colo.



He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services were held August 19, 2010 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford, Colo.
