Wyoming land trust accepting award nominees

The Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust is accepting nominations for the Kurt Bucholz Award.
The award is given to those who practice and show similar core beliefs through public service and conservation efforts to those Bucholz embodied during his life, a news release from the group said.
Nomination forms can be found at http://www.wsgalt.org, and are due May 16.
To be eligible, one must have helped or been active in one or more of the following way.
— Supporting the conservation of Wyoming's landscape and the role ranching plays in it.
— Be a successful rancher and land steward active in resource issues at the state or national level and strongly support private enterprise and solutions for conservation in the state.

The award started in 2008 in Bucholz's name. He was a legislator and rancher in Saratoga, Wyo. Previous recipients include Dennis Sun, John Lunt, Joe Glode, Jim Chant, Bob Budd, Mike Healy, Bobbie Frank and Alan Barnett, from 2008-2015, respectively.
