Comments:
Randy Lemke and family welcomed a large crowd at their ranch south of Lawrence on Feb. 13. It was a 65 degree February day, and everyone was in great spirits to spend the day evaluating high quality red Angus, Angus and Angus hybrid cattle. The bidding was active online and in person with many of the bulls going to repeat buyers. Also unique to the Lemke sale, the family does a gun raffle for two Henry lever action rifles. The proceeds from this raffle are dispersed amongst area schools to help promote serving wholesome nutritious beef in the school lunch programs.
