Colorado Water Trust and Eagle River Coalition will host a community water panel, “Water, Drought, and the Future of Agriculture in the West,” on Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Walking Mountains in Avon.

Held during Climate Action Week, the event will bring together local experts, ranchers and water leaders to discuss how changing snowpack, earlier runoff and ongoing drought are reshaping agriculture and water management across Colorado.

Panelists will share insights on the realities of farming and ranching in Eagle County, the evolving challenges of water availability, and the critical role agriculture plays in conserving and sustaining river systems. The discussion will also explore how policy, community action, and collaboration can support resilient agricultural and water futures.

Community members, stakeholders, and anyone interested in the future of water and agriculture in Colorado are encouraged to attend.
