Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition offers scholarships for Business of Grazing workshop
Five $500 scholarships available for Nebraska producers
Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition is offering five scholarships of up to $500 each to help Nebraska producers attend the upcoming Noble Research Institute: Business of Grazing workshop, held Feb. 17-19 in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Developed with grazing expert Jim Gerrish and Ranch Management Consultants, the three‑day course blends Ranching for Profit principles with practical, real‑world grazing management. Participants will learn how to calculate gross margins, evaluate infrastructure investments, build effective grazing plans, and make data‑driven decisions that improve both land health and business profitability.
The $500 scholarship will cover the $300 registration fee plus travel expenses such as hotel, fuel and meals.

The course is ideal for producers who:
- Rely on grazing livestock as a primary enterprise
- Want to reduce hay dependence
- Are preparing for future market opportunities
- Want proven examples of profitable, regenerative grazing systems
Attendees will leave with tools to:
- Evaluate costs and benefits of infrastructure improvements
- Use business principles to guide grazing decisions
- Build grazing plans that connect daily actions to long‑term goals
- Apply new strategies through hands‑on, real‑world scenarios
Participants also receive access to a post‑course consultation, monthly Rancher‑to‑Rancher virtual sessions and the Noble Learning Center for continued support.
