June 5, 1942 – April 13, 2026

Bob Massey lived a rich and full life, deeply rooted in family, hard work, and the cowboy way of life he loved so dearly. Surrounded by the love of his wife, children, grandchildren, and most recently, his newborn great-granddaughter, he built a life defined by devotion, adventure, and lasting friendships.

It is with great sadness that the Massey family announce his passing in the early morning hours of April 13. 2026.

Born on June 5, 1942, in Clifton, England, Bob spent much of his life pursuing the dream that defined him. Forty-four years ago, he moved with his family from England to the United States to fulfill his lifelong ambition of becoming and American cowboy, rancher, and citizen. He found great joy in life on his ranch, spending countless days with his horses and cattle, and making treasured memories with his son, his team-roping “family”, and fellow cowboys.

In addition to ranching, Bob was a successful business man who owned and operated Bob Massey Caps and Emblems and Beeqwik Apparel for many years. His entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic were a reflection of the determination and character that shaped every part of his life.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary Massey; his children, Tracey Dillman (Danny), Kim “Kizzy Massey, Samantha Stairs, and Ryon Massey (Corrie); his grandson Nathan Dillman; his granddaughters Raegan, Sage, and Logen Massey; and his great-granddaughter, Whitley.

Friends and family are cordially invited to join the Massey family on Sunday, June 21 for a Celebration of Life and Memorial Team Roping at 5645 Soap Weed Road, Calhan, Colorado. The reception will begin at noon and continue throughout the day. Main dishes will be provided by the family, and guests are welcome to bring a side dish of their choice. Coors Light and bottled water will be provided.
