Exploring local interest in forming a Prescribed Burn Association

The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition is hosting an exploratory meeting on Feb. 25 to discuss interest in creating a Pine Ridge Burn Association.

Prescribed fire is a safe, science‑based tool that protects Nebraska’s grasslands, supports livestock production and reduces long‑term wildfire risk. When applied under controlled conditions, it restores the natural processes that have shaped western Nebraska’s rangelands for generations.
